Las Vegas – April 3, 2025 -  LA-based production studio and distributor Viva Pictures will be announcing that they have acquired the US distribution for the upcoming family film PETS ON A TRAIN during a preview event at Caesars Palace at CinemaCon. The animated comedy adventure, directed by Benoît Daffis (Pil, Terra Willy) and Jean-Christian Tassy (The Jungle Bunch: World Tour, Pil) and produced by Tat Productions (Asterix, The Jungle Bunch: World Tour, and Epic Tails) will release in theaters across North America October 17.

When a crew of animal bandits embark on a fairly routine swindle, they find themselves caught up in a high-tech, professional train heist. It’s up to Falcon, a petty thief raccoon and Rex, a righteous police-dog, to save the animals stuck onboard this high-speed runway train.

Said Victor Elizalde, CEO of Viva Pictures, “Pets on a Train is a thrilling train-heist story that will be sure to keep the whole family on the edge of their seats. We are delighted to build on our past successes with Tat Productions to bring this adventure to the silver screen. Our recent triumphs with HitPig! and Night of the Zoopolcalypse further solidifies the industry's insatiable appetite for quality kids animated content. We look forward to continuing to bring  top-tier films into the market.”

Casting is underway for key roles in the film.

The studio also released the teaser trailer for the upcoming release of GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE which is set to hit theaters August 22 and features the voices of Gemma Arterton(The Girl with All the Gifts, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time), Thomas Brodie-Sangster(“Game of Thrones,” Love Actually),  Hayley Atwell (Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning, Avengers franchise) and Lenny Henry (Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, The Pirates! Band of Misfits). The release marks the debut of Europa-Park’s mascot’s Ed and Edda, as part of the park's 50th anniversary. Grand Prix of Europe was produced  by Mack Magic and animated by Mack Animation (Animals United, Monster Family). Trailer can be seen here.

The film’s story revolves around Edda, a young mouse, who dreams of racing glory. When Edda’s world takes an unexpected turn, she disguises herself as her racing idol, the legendary Ed, and seizes the once-in-a-lifetime chance to drive in the Grand Prix. What starts as a daring stunt becomes the ride of her life as she takes Ed’s place in competition. The prize money would save her family’s amusement park and a win would save Ed’s title.
