Occasionally you will see me posting about some of my hobbies, and one of my passions is craft beers. I really enjoy visiting different craft breweries and trying new and unique flavors. When traveling, my husband and I make it a point to search out local craft breweries so that we can experience the local flavors and atmosphere. Over the years we’ve been to quite a few craft breweries and have found some of our favorite beers this way.
I’ve recently discovered Melvin Brewing. They are the brewers of a line of high quality beers, located in Jackson, Wyoming. Their beer cans extraordinary art work by Rumtum is so colorful and amazing, and adds to the experience of enjoying their beers in a fun and playful way.
I’m excited about the new line of Experimental beers for 2021 that includes some IPAs, Pale Ale, Hoppy Wheat and an Imperial Smoked Porter called Velvet Rut that I can’t wait to get my hands on. It has notes of campfire, coffee and chocolate, with rich roasty flavors along with a touch of dried stone fruit. This is my go to type of beer and I often will enjoy one with a good burger or steak. Porters are nice when you want to kick back and relax while slow sipping your beer. They are robust and full or bold flavor. Check out the artwork on the rest of new lineup for beers for 2021.
Melvin Brewing has recently been awarded the Great American Beer Festival Small Brewpub & Brewer of the Year. You can shop their line of beers by visiting their online shop.

Melvin Brewing was born in the back of a Thai restaurant in 2009, when owner Jeremy Tofte decided to bring beers from the future to Jackson, WY. Our 20 gallon brew system quickly grew into a 3 barrel system, and we served our award-winning beers — the original Melvin IPA, 2x4 Double IPA, and Ch-Ch-Ch-Cherry Bomb — with sides of Asian street food, kung fu movies and old school hip hop.
After winning Small Brewpub of the Year at GABF2015, we opened a 30 barrel production facility 45 minutes away in Alpine, WY (pop 750) with the awesome help of the people of Wyoming. Shortly thereafter, we went on to win Brewing Group of the Year at GABF 2017.
Embracing the chaos and riding the wave, Melvin Brewing is now ready to take its world class beers on a worldwide tour, via our lifted border patrol Melvin bus.
Remember: if your beer is not madness, it’s not beer.
