Gaylord Hotels Creates Magical Holiday Destinations Across the Country

Are you looking for a magical holiday experience for you and your family this holiday season?  Gaylord Hotels has 4 magical destinations that they will be transforming this holiday season.  

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (October 26, 2018) – Gaylord Hotels’ four spectacular resort properties will soon transform into magical winter wonderlands this holiday season, entertaining visitors with acres of festive décor and dozens of unique holiday events to delight those of all ages. The holiday fun will begin mid-November and run through early January.

In total, the resorts will feature 9.6 million pounds of ice used to carve ICE! sculpture attractions, 7.2 million holiday lights (which would equal 262 miles if strung end-to-end), 3 million pounds of real snow on snow tubing hills, 101,360 feet of garland, 50,000 ornaments, 27,000 poinsettia plants, hundreds of decorated Christmas trees, and much more!

Gaylord Hotels’ signature holiday event, ICE!, will showcase life-size colorful sculptures, holiday scenes, and slides standing more than two stories tall at each resort property. The icy attractions are hand-carved by 120 ice artisans who travel across the globe from Harbin, China.

Visitors will experience ICE! featuring A Charlie Brown Christmas (at Gaylord National), ICE! featuring the Dr. Seuss classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (at Gaylord Opryland), ICE! featuring A CHRISTMAS STORY™ (at Gaylord Palms), and ICE! featuring Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (at Gaylord Texan).

ICE! is kept at a chilly 9 degrees to keep the ice from melting, so complimentary parkas are provided by the resorts for visitors to wear. Visitors are, however, encouraged to wear cold weather clothing and shoes.

Mrs. Claus’ Christmas Traditions

Kids will feel the magic of Christmas reading classic holiday stories and singing along to Christmas carols, all while enjoying a batch of Mrs. Claus' world famous cookies and a glass of ice cold milk.

Gingerbread Decorating Corner

Families can choose a delectable gingerbread kit and decorate to their hearts’ content before visiting with a life-sized gingerbread man for heartwarming hugs and photo opportunities.

Build-A-Bear Workshop®

Kids can choose from a variety of furry friends, add lots of stuffing and make a wish on a heart!

Character Breakfasts

Families will delight in dining with Charlie Brown™ and Friends at Gaylord National, the Grinch at Gaylord Opryland, Elf on the Shelf® at Gaylord Palms, and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer at Gaylord Texan.

Ice Skating

All ages will enjoy the happiest time of the year while taking a festive glide on ice skating rinks!
