Peanut Butter blossoms have always been my husband's favorite cookie. They are easy to make and are soft and delicious.
Ingredients
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed down in cup)
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup softened butter (not melted)
1 egg
1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
In a separate small bowl 1/2 cup sugar
Also set aside unwrapped candy kisses for each cookie.
⭐
Directions
Preheat oven to 375.
Combine all ingredients except for the extra small bowl of sugar
Roll dough into 1 inch balls. I find that using a cookie scooper makes perfect size.
Place rolled cookie balls into the bowl of sugar and gently roll them until covered in sugar.
Place cookie ball on a cookie sheet. I like to put 3 - 4 per row, leaving about 1-1/2 to 2 inches in between each ball. I generally bake 12 - 16 cookies per sheet.
Bake 10 minutes per batch or until the cookies are brown around edges.
As soon as the cookies come out of the oven, gently press an unwrapped candy kiss into the center.
Allow the cookies to cool completely before removing to prevent breakage.
Enjoy!
