Week 13 went well for me. I lost 1.8 lbs and am getting closer to my year end goal of 25 lbs. I had a pretty uneventful week and stayed on track most of the time. I did have one day that I felt hungry the entire day. I was tempted to snack on junk but got myself in control and opted for fruit and yogurt instead.
Let's face it, there are days that we get a little stressed out and I don't know about you, but for me, I always used food as a crutch. It was my go to solve all for all of life's little problems, no matter how big or small. I keep reminding myself of that because it is one of the main reasons I was where I was when I started this journey. Now I find new ways to conquer stress.
This week's meeting focused on stress and ways to handle it. My new way is by taking a few deep breaths and looking at things in another perspective.
There are many different ways to manage stress. You can read a book, take a warm bath, deep breaths, count to ten, take a walk and more. How do you handle stress? How do you think you can handle stress differently than you have in the past? Stop and think about that.
This week's goal for me is to concentrate on new ways to handle stress, including holiday stresses. Let's face it, there are a lot of things to do and people to see and it can get a big overwhelming. Remember, if you start planning now, you can ease some of the stresses.
My other goal for this week is to reach my 25 lb year end goal. That one is really important to me. But, as long as I stay on track, whether I reach it or not will not stress me out. I know I will get there sooner or later. What matters more is that I stay focused on my end goal.
Have a stress free week!
